We are currently planning a health walk and screening in April 2020.
So we’re raising money for this activity during which the locals can participate in a health walk followed by educational sessions regarding “sex” and “food & nutrition”, and a health screening. The information sessions target some specific problems in this region like safe sex practices, overweight and diabetes, while the examination is a checkup concerning the general health of the people with a specific check of the vital signs as temperature, pulse, blood pressure and measuring the height and weight in order to calculate the body mass index.

The Community Health Center in Wejia (Accra) needs to replace several old beds as soon as possible, and get some additional ones. They currently also have just one sleeping hall, which means that men and women need to sleep together in the same hall. The health center would like to make some structural adjustments to have an extra hall so women and men can sleep separate.

We are trying to collect secondhand hospital beds and/or buy them so we can help this health center out.

In addition we are collecting money to get the equipment there and also make the necessary adjustments to provide separate sleeping facilities for men and women.

Current status: A home for elderly in Belgium “Avondrust” has donated hospital beds to MediHelp.

We are currently collecting clothes, toys and books for partner orphanage homes of greater Accra.

Money donations are also welcome to cover the costs of transport and taxes.
